   A.M.’s with a billionaire.

   i’ve met 2 billionaires in my life, oprah and richard desmond. RD is my boss and I am in awe of him. When you have that much money, you can say, do, be, act, spend however you want. What freedom!

   i’ve been staying in this awesome suite…i mean. fan-fucking-tastic suite. its a sweet suite. and i’ve eaten more food than absolutely necessary. as a matter of fact, i’m pretty sure i’ve gained 4 lbs just writing this and being immobile.

   he chats me up every morning about this that or the other. he tells me the most hilarious stories about his “chaps” and about roger daltry and robert plant and palling around with those fools and then going on harvey weinstein’s yacht and kicking it with j-lo and marc. he’s got a home in majorca and im sure plenty elsewhere. i want to BE THIS DUDE. ideally, half O, half Desmond.

   what i am learning is impossible to quantify, just by virture of being his right hand for 5 days, and OSCAR Week no less! i’m learning our business from the man who built it. he doesn’t share wisdom, he’s not that guy, but within his biting wit, and caustic British bravado is the knowledge of a kid who left school at 14 and has built himself an empire with his bare hands.

   im in AWE of that. anyone who can come from nothing and do something gets my vote of confidence. its all of us who came from a half less than a whole lot but not everything that are too lazy to do what the fuck we need to do in order to get to where we need to go…

   i work hard, yea, i am passionate about this industry, sure…but am i doing absolutely everything in my power to make it? not even. am i busting my ass and working my fingers to the bone…only sort of.

   is this effing suite and driving this g-d Mercedes making me feel that i’d enjoy life with all the spoils handle and petty things not a worry…yes.

   some people want to live in a hut in India and find peace w/ a higher power and live off the land and this that and the other…i applaud you. I even think Wonka is all up in that - he absolutely wants peace and to sit on a mountain to focus on the energy of a mango…

   i just want to be comfortable and to have enough coin to handle my parents future and to live in that lap of luxury and not have to worry about getting a boot on my car or maybe my cell being cut off in mid conversation. things like that.
